Sociotechnical Organisation Design

Loosely-coupled software services are the foundation for loosely-coupled autonomous teams. I care about this because highly-aligned, autonomous teams are the highest performing and most enjoyable to work on. I have learned through both personal experience and empirical research.

As I continue to work with new and diverse clients, I continue to document the patterns and heuristics I see being used to design organisations. I find the patterns and heuristics invaluable when architecting sociotechnical systems and I'm sure you'll find them useful, too.

If you have any questions or would like to contribute your patterns and heuristics, please contact me.
